Just for fun on this "fine" Saturday morning is a short little number that reached No 5 in the charts in April 1967. Whilst I don't recall this particular performance or the show it was on (I'd have been 9 at the time), I do remember the tune.
The "song" is fronted by an actor apparently and no one knows for certain who was the mystery whistler. Nevertheless a quite catchy tune that I certainly do remember from listening to the wireless set on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon whilst reading the latest editions of Smash! or Valiant two long departed but fondly remembered comics.
Those were the days.... now enjoy I was Kaiser Bills Batman by Whistling Jack Smith.
